The trumpet pictured is the actual trumpet you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your trumpet was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
Martin Band Instrument Company made the Handcraft Superlative Bb Trumpet from 1916-1922. It featured a medium bore, a tunable receiver, and 4.25" horn.
This one seems to date to 1921, due to the lack of the pinky ring (that was added in 1922) and the serial number of 33321. It has finish #2, which is quadruple silver plate, sand blast finish, and gold bell. This trumpet does feature the tunable receiver, however it does not move freely, as though it has been soldered in place, which seems to be a common occurrence.
This Martin Handcraft Superlative comes with the two Martin mouthpieces, music lyre, the original hardshell form fitting case with black exterior, purple interior and Martin badge on the front center, all pictured.
This trumpet has been professionally serviced and sanitized - it had an acid flush, minor dent work and the silver was polished and cleaned.
This is a used instrument and does show some signs of slight use, but has been fully tested and functions as expected. Please take a moment to review our pictures, as they accurately portray the true condition of the instrument.
