The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
When Fender released the Stratocaster in 1954, little did they know they were creating a classic. The Stratocaster's sleek style, articulate sound and plethora of innovations redefined electric guitar and opened up a brave new world of musical possibilities. The American Original '50s Stratocaster maintains Fender's legendary original-era style and ground-breaking tone, while adding modern feel and pickup switching.
This American Original '50s Stratocaster features an Ash body in White Blonde finish and a Maple neck with a thick Soft V shaped profile that slightly smoothens the sharpness of a V profile, rounding it out so it’s more comfortable for rhythm and lead playing. The 9.5” radius fretboard enhances playability, while the vintage tall frets make it easier to bend notes without fretting out. This 9.5” radius fretboard is slightly flatter than a vintage-style 7.25” radius, providing a comfortable fret-hand feel.
Equipped with three wax-potted Pure Vintage '59 single-coil Stratocaster pickups that are as period-correct as possible, from the Formvar-coated coil wire to the cloth-covered output wires, fiber bobbins and alnico 5 magnets.
Other authentic touches include original-era body radii - original-era fans can rest assured every curve and line of the body and neck are accurate to the historic originals, vintage-style hardware - including a six-point synchronized tremolo bridge and a lacquer finish that not only lets the wood "breathe" naturally, it also ages in a distinctively appealing way. From the bridge to the string tree and tuning machines, every piece of hardware is just like the original.
The American Original '50s Stratocaster is the best way to experience the performance, style and tone that made Fender a household name among guitarists.
