The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
One of the most outlandish models offered by Fender over the years, the Maverick – also known as the Custom – may just be the boldest of them all. Comprised of leftover 12-string necks, bodies and pickups transformed into a very unique 6 string. It was like nothing else on the market, with a kind of misfit glamour that made it greater than the sum of its parts. Whether you loved it or not, playing a Maverick was a true statement.
Featuring an Alder body, a Maple neck with an Ebony fretboard, a dual pick-up configuration, and a classic Bigsby vibrato for stunning looks and the ability to get that Rockabilly-wobble surf-rock sound.
Inspired by the bravado of that original model, the Maverick Dorado kicks up the swagger with a pair of Tim Shaw designed Filter’Tron style humbucking pickups for fat-sounding guitar tones offer one-of-a-kind style and versatility.
For an added high-end appointment, the nitrocellulose lacquer finish not only lets the body breathe with its true tonal character, it also ages and wears in a distinctively personal way.
The thick '60s C shaped neck profile is sculpted for a vintage-style playing feel , while the 24.75” scale length provides a warmer sound and reduced string tension, making string bends easier. It’s remarkably comfortable and ideal for any playing style -while the Bigsby vibrato has a smooth feel - perfect for subtle vibrato - along with a slick, retro aesthetic.
Falling somewhere between Maple and Rosewood, the Ebony fretboard provides a smooth playing feel and articulate mids and highs and is perfectly complimented by the white pearl block inlays and white neck binding, both of which add a touch of high-class appeal.
Topped off with nickel/chrome hardware, deluxe diecast Pearl-capped tuners, a 4-ply tortoise pickguard and a stunning a Firemist Gold finish with a matching headstock, this guitar is an absolute stunner!
