At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving. 

This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.

A true piece of American guitar history, the Kalamazoo KG-1 is a fun, lightweight vintage solid body electric guitar that delivers the unmistakable character and charm of the Gibson family of instruments. Manufactured in Gibson's Kalamazoo, Michigan factory from 1965-1969 under the Kalamazoo brand, the KG-1 was designed as an affordable student model but has since earned a loyal following among collectors and players for its punchy tone, simple controls, and unmistakable retro styling.

Equipped with a single original-style pickup, the KG-1 produces bright, articulate cleans with a gritty, raw edge when pushed through a tube amplifier. Its compact offset body and comfortable Maple neck make it an enjoyable guitar to play, while the straightforward control layout keeps things simple and intuitive.

Today, the Kalamazoo KG-1 is appreciated not only as a collectible vintage instrument but also as a unique recording and performance guitar with plenty of vintage mojo.
