The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
The Farm recently visited the Breedlove factory in Bend, Oregon and got a first-hand look at their meticulous build process. We hand-picked an array of amazing instruments, and some are prototypes and one-of-a-kind. We are offering these as Demo instruments since they were on display at Breedlove, but they have never been owned and are all in excellent condition.
The Breedlove research team set a goal of crafting the most textured big-sound in a Breedlove Concert. First they achieved the thinnest finish ever on a Breedlove – just 5 mils on the top and 2 mils for the back and sides. The top is thinner, back a bit thicker and the sound hole smaller to hit their target fundamental resonance frequency for textured big sound. And binding and decoration has been minimized. Coming in at just 3 pounds 51 ounces, this Breedlove USA Concert E Mah is almost 25% lighter than other Breedlove all-Mah concerts.
The USA Concert E Mah features top, back and sides that are all crafted from solid Honduran Mah, along with the Mah neck that features a slimmer neck profile, which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. Unlike traditional dovetail neck joints that require major surgery for a neck re-set, it is easy to adjust the play action and neck angle with the Breedlove bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish contributes to ideal playability – the finish process alone takes three days, including precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing.
This USA Concert E Mah features an asymmetrical headstock. This headstock isn’t just a pretty shape – it’s specifically designed to keep the strings in a straight, even line from the nut to the tuning pegs. The result is even tension, stable tuning, and ease of alternate tuning.
Additional appointments include a African Ebony fretboard with 20 frets and offset dots, a Delta African Ebony bridge, Breedlove nickel tuners, striped Ebony overlay on the headstock, satin open pore finish, and is equipped with LR Baggs EAS VC electronics.
