At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving. 

This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.

Join the freak scene and feel the pain with this tribute to the darling of alternative rock, J Mascis! Being know for his full on fuzz infused riffage, creative solos and top-tier hook creation, this is tribute is no surprise.

The J Mascis Signature Telecaster is outfitted with a plethora of features meant to recreate his own '58 refinished top-loader Telecaster. Based around an Alder body with a Rod Worn Maple neck, a top-loaded bridge, and a unique finish with a mirror pickguard, this guitar is ready start choppin'.

The comfortable satin finished C shaped Road Worn neck has a 9.5" radius Maple fretboard with 21 jumbo frets that feels natural and broken in, along with a 25.5" scale and 1.685" nut width - this neck will fit right in your hand perfectly when you're playing knock 'em down riffs, melodic solos and just about anything and everything you can throw at it. 

Loaded with specially voiced Tele pickups meant to replicate the vintage from J’s original guitar, these custom single-coils deliver the snappy highs and snarly mids that set J’s amp on fire and are easily dialed in with the 3-way selector switch and the volume and tone knobs. 

Keeping you in tune, while adding sustain and resonance, is the uncommon configuration used briefly in the late fifties and early sixties of a top-loaded Telecaster bridge, which also provides slightly lower string tension for slinkier bends and softer attack perfect for Rock’n’Roll - as well as the vintage style Fender tuners for a period correct look and ultimate tuning stability. 

Finally, adding more flair than a tenured Chotchkie's server, is the Bottle Rocket Blue Flake finish - which is identical to Mascis' own telecaster - and the distinguished mirror pickguard, which is the perfect top-off to an otherwise perfect pour. 

This is a used guitar and does show some signs of slight use, but has been fully tested and functions as expected. Please take a moment to review our pictures, as they accurately portray the true condition of this guitar.

You are buying a quality instrument made of wood. Each instrument goes through a pre-shipment inspection to ensure you are getting a great quality instrument. However, please keep in mind when instruments are shipped, they can endure temperature changes as well as doing the "shipper shuffle" and therefore minor adjustments may be needed to set up the instrument to your personal preferences after receiving it.

Included in your shipment will be instructions on care and maintenance.
