As a tribute to Eddie Van Halen in his early years, Kramer designed a 1984 model that brings the legendary 5150 Kramer to life. The 5150 is absolutely one of the most recognizable guitars in rock and roll history, and Kramer has done a great job recreating Eddie's masterpiece.
The original guitar was put together by Eddie in the Kramer factory from the very beginning to painting it himself. He put together a very simple guitar, with a simple sound. One humbucker, a Floyd Rose tremolo, and a single volume knob was all he needed. While most people thought that the body was a Kramer Baretta, it was actually known as the Kramer Pacer Special. This particular guitar, the reissue, is called the Kramer 1984 and is very similar to the original body shape of the original 5150.
This guitar is definitely a looker, just try not to drool on your keyboard!
