The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care. This unique guitar was designed by C.F. Martin IV himself and was displayed at the Winter NAMM show in Anaheim. We were told there is only one, and The Farm has it! Mr. Martin wanted to designed this guitar based on the Golden Era, with all top-notch appointments and construction, along with his vision of it being void of a pickguard, and rather have it inlayed to give it the appearance of one but without the added weight of an actual pickguard.
The D-12 fret body is Mah block and dovetail neck joint constructed, along with Adirondack Spruce scalloped Golden Era top bracing. The Adirondack Spruce top features Delmar faux tortoise binding, Old Style 18 soundhole rosette with tortoise and black rings, inlayed tortoise and black pickguard and a gloss finish with aging toner. The two-piece back is crafted from solid genuine Mah with Style 18 purfling, Delmar faux tortoise back binding and Golden Era Stika Spruce back bracing. The sides are also constructed with solid genuine Mah and the back and sides are finished with a dark Mah stain with gloss finish.
The Modified V genuine Mah neck with a 25.4" scale is beautifully paired with a black Ebony fretboard with a 16" radius, a 1 7/8" nut width, Old Style 18 Pearl dot inlays and grained Ivoroid side position dots. A slotted headstock with Old Style gold Martin logo and Waverly nickel open gear tuners, bone nut, black Ebony heelcap and black Ebony 1930s style belly bridge with black pins round out the Golden Era appoinments on this beautifully unique guitar.
This guitar was made in the USA, at Martin's Custom Shop and weighs approximately 4 pounds. It comes with a custom case with Cabernet interior, padded handle, white stitching and gold hardware. It will also come to you with the build sheet and the NAMM display tag.
