The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without the care that it, and you, deserve.
This Custom Shop 00-14F Slope Shoulder features back and sides crafted from Ovangkol and a Sitka Spruce soundboard supported by Sitka Spruce scalloped braces and highlighted by the Vintage Burst finish. The quilted Bubinga binding, single ring rosette and tortoise pickguard further accent the beautiful finish.
The soundboard of this Custom Shop also benefits from Martin's VTS process, helping give you that vintage Martin tone right out of the case. Capturing that sweet Martin vintage tone is guaranteed to happen if you simply purchase a new Martin and allow it to age naturally. This is always a sure-fire way to own a piece of American guitar history; the tone simply sweetens throughout its life. But in today’s world, there's no need to wait for that iconic tone, thanks to Martin's VTS process. Martin's Vintage Tone System (VTS) uses a unique recipe that is based on the historic torrefaction system. VTS acts much like a time machine in which Martin can target certain time periods and age the top/braces to that era. This focused method allows Martin’s craftsmen and craftswomen to recreate not only the pleasing visual aesthetics of a vintage guitar, but also reproduce the special tones previously reserved for vintage instruments.
The satin finished Modified Low Oval with Performing Artist Taper Mahogany neck offers a nice blend of modern playability and exceptional player comfort. The African Blackwood fretboard is topped with a bone nut and boasts diamond and square inlays. Catering to the classic Martin vibe, the old school square taper headstock displays the black foil Martin logo and a set of Grover nickel tuners. The 16" radius compensated bone saddle is housed within an African Blackwood straightline with drop-in saddle bridge.
This Custom Shop 00-14F Sloped Shoulder acoustic guitar will come to you in a Martin hardshell case.
