Orb-X are percussion mallets for drummers. Felt mallets are often too hard and heavy, making it difficult to articulate intricate patterns. An Orb-X mallet head weighs less than a half gram, with a 25 mm diameter. The smaller sizes compress more and have a softer sound. The larger sizes compress less and have more contact sound. They all sound great on drum set, congas and bongos. These are great for orff instruments as well. Because they are so light weight, drummers can play rhythmic patterns on cymbals that were not practical with tympani mallets.
