The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your guitar was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
Today’s players prefer the contemporary look of a soft cutaway guitar, with its sleek profile and all fret access, yet many dream of the sound of the Golden Age. This Limited Edition dreadnought-like Concerto is the pre-war banjo killer you’ve always dreamed of, without the vintage price tag.
If you are looking for big lush sound with profound bass projection, Breedlove's Premier Concerto CE is your guitar. With the Concerto body design you will hear more volume and more overtones than the traditional dreadnought, and you can push it as hard as you wish with your strumming. Using their Sound Optimization, Breedlove has achieved a fundamental resonance similar to the pre-war dreadnoughts, but with greater tonal complexity. The cutaway design gives easier access to the upper frets.
This Premier Concerto CE acoustic electric guitar features a solid Adirondack Spruce top on solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides in a natural gloss finish. The 25.5" scale Honduran Mah neck features a slimmer neck profile which enables comfortable play, even with smaller hands. Unlike traditional dovetail neck joints that require major surgery for a neck re-set, it is easy to adjust the play action and neck angle with the Breedlove bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod. The hand-rubbed, semi-gloss Breedlove neck finish contributes to ideal playability – the finish process alone takes three days, including precise finish coat applications, fine sanding, and hand buffing and rubbing. The African Ebony fretboard features 20 frets, 1 3/4" nut width and interlocking diamond inlays.
Additional appointments include tortoise body binding, a Delta style African Ebony bridge and Breedlove nickel tuners with black buttons. This Premier Concerto CE is equipped with LR Baggs EAS VTC electronics. Unlike typical undersaddle acoustic guitar pickups that are dependent on string compression for their sound, the Element was engineered to mirror the soundboard’s actual movement as you play. At the heart of the pickup, a flexible film sensor only 2 thousands of an inch thick picks up the guitar’s most delicate nuances. Tracking the motion of the top rather than a direct string attack suppresses “quack” caused by compression and unlocks the Element’s unrivaled dynamic range.
Why do Breedlove guitars sound so good? It’s simple, Breedlove guitars are made with care, with the goal of allowing you to play better, sound better and play more. But it’s also complex, with art, inspiration, craft and science merging together in a process we call Sound Optimization. This guitar has been hand voiced, with experienced luthiers meticulously tapping, listening and shaving away tiny curls of exquisite tonewood as they target specific, measurable frequencies that will make each unique, individual instrument sound its very best. The tone wood species are carefully milled, weighed and considered, with the back and top specifically tuned to each other to create light, responsive guitar with superior tone and sustain.
The Breedlove Play Style system was created to help you, the player, select your sound and playing style. Finding the most appropriate guitar to fit your sound requires finding not only the correct body shape, but the proper tonewood combinations to fit your style of play. Each Breedlove guitar is designed for a specific play style and sound, the Play Style systems assign a playing style icon to each instrument. This guitar is a H Play Style.
H | Heavier Play, Strumming: Historically, larger guitars are designed for bigger sound and stronger play. Breedlove can achieve this robust playing style on the guitar body shape that is most comfortable to the player.
