The trumpet pictured is the actual trumpet you will receive!
At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving.
This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! Rest assured your trumpet was not just plucked off of a shelf and drop-shipped to you from a warehouse without care.
The Martin Committee was introduced in 1939 and quickly became a favorite of top flight artists such as Chet Baker, Roy Eldridge , Claude Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie , Miles Davis, Wallace Roney, Chris Botti and the list goes on and on. The Martin Committee was popular from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s and it got it's unusual name as it was designed by a "committee" made up of the best trumpet designers of the the time, and local musicians for the Martin Band Instrument Company.
This Martin Committee dates to 1956, with serial number 199048. It has been serviced and sanitized - it had some minor adjustments done, key corks replaced where needed and some shimming. All slides and valves flow freely, and nothing sticks.
It comes with the original case and the 3 mouthpieces pictured.
This is a used instrument and does show some signs of slight use, but has been fully tested and functions as expected. Please take a moment to review our pictures, as they accurately portray the true condition of the instrument.
