The Elder God from Does It Doom? is a high-output fuzz pedal specifically designed to capture the crushing, vintage textures of 70s proto-doom and modern stoner-sludge.
If you are looking for that thick, saturated "Wall of Sound" characteristic of bands like Sleep or Electric Wizard, this pedal is a top-tier contender.
The Sound and Circuit
The Elder God is a heavily modified take on the classic Jordan Boss Tone circuit. While the original 1960s Boss Tone was a plug-in unit known for its gritty, biting fuzz, the Elder God has been re-engineered for the modern doom player:
-
Massive Low End: Unlike the original vintage units which could be a bit thin, this version is tuned to retain your guitar's low-frequency response, which is essential for down-tuned riffs
-
High Output: It has enough volume on tap to push the front end of a tube amp into natural saturation
-
Texture: It produces a harmonically rich, "velvety" fuzz that cleans up surprisingly well with your guitar's volume knob but stays focused and heavy when wide open
This is a used pedal and does show some signs of slight use, but has been fully tested and functions as expected. Please take a moment to review our pictures, as they accurately portray the true condition of this pedal.
